Cat (again)
This was not the photo I was going to share with you today, but since Boo showed so much interest in it, so why shouldn't I post it.
The photo is clearly yellow tainted due to the color of the puff (a gift from a friend) and it's Boo's new favorite spot in the house.
Have a good week!

Flamingos (Phoenicopterus)
In the trip to the north of Chile we visited a salt lake that is over 4.000 mts above sea level, and there you can see three species of flamingos the Chilean (Phoenicopterus chilensis), the Andean (Phoenicopterus andinus) and Jame's (Phoenicoparrus jamesi) that usually isn't there that time of the year, but we got to see quite some of them.
With out further ado, here are the pictures.

I hope you like them and bear with me for the second week on a row with my cat, I assure you there will be something different next week.

Sunrise and snow.
This week we have first and probably last, a Sunrise. Anyone that knows me sure knows that I'm not a morning person, but yesterday we went skiing so we had to get really early and be on the street at 7 am, an when I looked up to the sky I saw this red clouds I just had to share with you.
Up in the mountain the view was really something
About 3 pm the fog appeared and it began to slowly take over the mountain until you can only saw a few feet way from you.
Up in the mountain the view was really something
Up there we found the furriest cat I've ever seen (wonder why)
Just before we began to descend it began to snow, but I don't have a good take of that, so it'll have to be another day.

Rainbows and cats
This week I saw something that I missed from Medellín, rainbows. In Santiago when it you have a forecast of rain, you'll surely have an overcast day and not a ray of sun to be seen anywhere. None the less yesterday we have this really amazing rainbow that I just have to share with you.
This week finally I took a picture of Boo, she is shy and you can tell from this picture.
Have a good week.

Sea lion and other pictures
So yesterday I uploaded the picture I promised but that was not the this weeks pictures, but I was way too tired to try and chose this weeks pictures.
On Sunday we went to the sea and found this series of beautiful cities, the fist one was San Antonio that is second or third ports of Chile. The thing that really fascinated me was the sea lions. They are used to on the rocks next to the fish market.
Here you can see a close up that I managed to take from this sea lion as it was barking, this kind of pictures is one of the reasons why I like my 28-200 so much.
After that we went to Isla Negra to see one of the houses of Pablo Neruda. His house in there is really something, but there is a no photo policy. But down at the beach I found this rock formation being hit by the sea and wanted to share this whit you. It shows some of the might of the Pacific ocean.
Finally when we were heading back to Santiago we got this beautiful sunset while we where on the highway.
See you next week.

Centro Artesanal los Dominicos
There is a craft market with a lot of jewelry, some wood work, and a lot of birds sold as pets. They had some really beatifull birds, and I took some pictures, but there is something about caged animals that just ruins the picutre.
I specially liked this picture where you can see the entrance of the market with the Andes behind, you can see that there is a lot less snow than in last week's post, this is due to the warm week we had and the lack of rain, still the mountains look beautiful
.
The other picture I wanted to share with you is this one of this cat that was sleeping on the sun. I really like cats, and this one is really peaceful.
Have a nice week.
